While the end of summer can be a sad event for some, but it does mean that festival season is upon us! Check out these great upcoming festivals in the Dayton area! 

1. Italian Fall Festa

Why: A weekend of wonderful Italian music, great Italian food, good friends, and a fun game of Bocce on the beautiful, spacious, shaded grounds of Bella Villa!  
When: Friday, September 8th - Sunday, September 10th, 2017
Where: Bella Villa Hall - 2625 County Line Rd, Dayton, OH 45430
$: Free admission - Food, drinks & crafts available for purchase.

2. Dayton Greek Festival

Why: A Greek tradition for both the young and old, our festival brings together people of all backgrounds to celebrate all things Greek: the food and pastries, unique Boutique items, cooking demonstrations, imported beer and wine, craft beer, live music, dance performances, fun activities for the kids, and tours of our beautiful church. Be Greek for the day. OPA!
When: Friday, September 8th - Sunday, September 10th, 2017

$: Friday - free until 5pm. Saturday & Sunday - $2 for adults. Children 12 & under are free.

Why: One of South Dayton's premier events hosted over the Labor Day weekend! Live entertainment all weekend, plus great food including our famous chicken dinner, italian sausage, and other food vendors plus our beer and wine garden.  Lots of family fun with games, entertainment, rides and activities for all ages - this is a festive gathering for family and friends!
When: Friday, September 1st - Monday, September 4th, 2017

4. Beavercreek Popcorn Festival

Why: Festival foods, continuous live entertainment, 5K popcorn run, tantalizing treats, special services, creative crafts, and sensational specialties made with Popcorn. The festival includes a children's area with games, inflatables, contests and other activities to delight younger children.  
When: Saturday, September 9th - Sunday, September 10th, 2017
Where: Intersection of Dayton-Xenia and North Fairfield roads in Beavercreek, OH
$: Free admission - Food, drinks, games & crafts available for purchase. 

5. The Taste Festival

Why: Join us for the 31sth Annual The Taste festival! It promises to be a fun evening of good food and entertainment. The event will be hosted in Lincoln Park Commons. Enjoy samples of delicious food from a variety of local restaurants. It’s sure to be taste-sational!
When: Thursday, August 31st, 2017
Where: Fraze Pavillion - 695 Lincoln Park Blvd, Dayton, OH 45429
$: Adults - $25 in advance, $30 day of event. Children under 10, are $10 at the door

6. Oktoberfest

Why: The 46th Oktoberfest is a community event including artisans, unique international foods, one of the best selections of domestic, international and craft beers in the area, family-friendly art activities, live music, a Weingarten with a variety of international wines, and much more! Oktoberfest includes a fully covered main stage viewing area, an expanded craft beer tent with big-screen TVs for all of the weekend’s football action, and live music on two stages throughout the weekend.
When: Saturday, September 23rd - Sunday, September 24th, 2017
Where: Dayton Art Institute - 456 Belmonte Park North, Dayton, OH 45405
$: $7 adults, $5 seniors and youth. Children 6 and under are admitted free.

7. Sauerkraut Festival

Why: Throughout this historic community, the streets come alive with more than 460 talented crafters & artists from all over the country displaying and offering for sale their finest works to the visitors who are expected to attend this two-day event. Plus there's sauerkraut served in many traditional and non-traditional ways, such as Reubens, Cabbage Rolls, Sauerkraut Pizza, Sauerkraut Burrito, Sauerkraut Macaroni and Cheese, in addition to sauerkraut brownies, pies, fudge, and entertainment to round out a perfect day outdoors. This is one of South Western Ohio's favorite festivals and what a perfect time of the year to host a craft festival with the cooler weather and the holidays just around the corner.
